Crawl in a corner and pray and let the spirits fall down

they'll rest on your eye lids to help you see

they'll whisper in your soul and you won't feel a thing

they'll tremble in your body to keep you still

they'll take your hand and help you remember

they will loose you to the ends of the earth with no return

they'll vanish from your heart and leave you cold

they'll dance away your prayers and take you to the heavens.

THIS IS FOR ROBIN MY TRUE LOVE

THINKING ABOUT YOU

I SIT AROUND THINKING.

LISTEN TO ALL THE RUMORS FLY.

I WONDER WHY?

I WAIT AROUND A WHILE JUST TO SEE.

I WONDER WHY YOUR NOT HEAR WITH ME?

I SIT HEAR WOUNDING?

WILL YOU COME?

WHY SHOULD YOU?

YOUR TO GOOD FOR ME.

OR ARE YOU?

TO MY GIRLS. JEREMIAH LATIMER

LOVE AND HATE

THE FEEL IN MY HEART IS IT LOVE OR IS IT HATE?

I WONDER IF I LOVE OR DO I HATE?

I THINK IT'S LOVE BUT I'M NOT SURE.

COULD I HATE? I SHALL NOT THINK.

I CHOSE TO LOVE AND NOT HATE.

I WILL LOVE FOREVER AND NOT NEVER HATE AGAIN.

I WILL LOVE FOR HEART AND INNER BEAUTY.

SOME FOR BEAUTY AND NOT LOVE.

THE DECIDING BETWEEN LOVE AND HATE.

LOVE FOREVER!

ROBIN AND JEREMIAH

FOREVER

-------------------------------------------------

In the eyes of an adult,

I am a child,

In the eyes of a child,

I am the adult,

In the eyes of my peers,

I am a friend,

In my own eyes,

I am me,

The adult,

The child,

The friend

DREAMS

Woke up this morning

pillow soaked with sweat.

Thoughts I can't remember

dreams I won't forget.

Guilt spinning-spinning

turmoil beyond control.

Have I lost my sanity

will I lose my soul?

Fifty cups of coffee won't

keep these dreams away

Tonight they will return

no matter how hard I pray.

I cry out for mercy- I beg

the morning to come.

I can't escape these dreams

a sleeping body can't run.

--------------------------------

Open Arms

Never Near, Never Far,

Shining brightly like a star.

Enjoy the comfort of your friends,

Sad or happy it all depends.

Searching for faces you might meet,

While walking down an empty street.

Looking at your life in doubt,

A good friend you will not be without.

Friends may come and friends may go,

But I'll be waiting with open arms.

-----------------------------------------

MAKE-UP

Every morning

Every single morning when I wake up

I smear creams and powders all over my face

I coat my eyelashes with thick paint

Just so that you'll look at me twice.

But my make-up is lost on you.

Hours taken away from my life

To curl my lashes

make myself presentable

only wastes me away to nothing

As I melt into a puddle of

Cover Girl

And paint

and Maybelline.

"Letting Someone Grow"

To love someone is to give them room to grow,

But to let them know,
Is the love you show.

-------------------

Allusions

All they are,

or seem to be--

my love and my mate:

Allusions of yesterday--

Allusions of happy songs--

The denial of my own past wrongs.

by Ben Sanchez

-----------------------------

(Untitled)

How creepy they must feel;

Those words you use

from a forgotten past;

those words that seem to be

growing as old as the mold

from last year's milk

that still sits in your refrigerator.

How gross they must look;

The thoughts you create,

while sitting on the can,

staring ever so attentively

at your porno magazine.

SEED

sow the seed of doubt,

it grows it chokes,

the bloom of love

falls to the ground

the farmer is proud,

the seed grows tall,

the flower is dead

it's beauty gone.

the wind blew strong,

the seed still young,

falls to the ground

like the flower once killed.

the farmer weeps,

the seed is dead,

the flower is no more...

there is none left.

this is the poetry upon thee.

this is how i feel when i write about u ladie

let me know if these be the flow.

i broke open the black window.

you are the black widow.

what am i luckin' fo?

i need to know.

-----------------------------------

ME AND THIS

this is me.

this is us.

this is a poem.

this is solid.

this is what it is.

this is night.

this is day.

this is untitled?

this is knowledge.

this is America?

this is forgiven.

this is crazy.

this is what you want it to be.

this is what we are.

this is my fancy automobile.

this is my book.

-------------------------------

crazy?

this is tight and i write.

i make day into night.

then i write.

this is tight and i write.

we make it crazy.

f*****s are lazy.

they hate change.

so rearrange.

this is crazy.

this is not lazy.

make it known.

this poetry is blown.

this is what we love.

this is what i think of.

my name be what it says.

play by the rules.

play with no more fools.

-----------------------------

Another one.

i like writing poems.

internet set.

this is the web site.

they ain't ready yet.

tell me this. . .

we will the earth miss?

i gave my black woman a kiss.

let it be known.

i wont throw a stone.

i rather that you leave it alone.

this is why we must do or die.

this is why it is up in the sky.

so i write this.

why and when will the earth miss?

-----------------------------

lonely

tears that fall in the dark of night,

when no one's there to see;

a lonely heart, a lonely mind,

a sad and lonely me.

love that brought much happiness,

now brings so much pain.

your love has gone, but mine has grown,

now teardrops fall like rain.

a broken heart that you walked on,

when you walked out the door.

a lonely heart, a lonely mind,

won't feel love anymore.

----------------------------------------

Hatred bears no true reason,

it should pass...with each season

When understanding takes it's place..

then forgiveness fills that space.

--------------------------------------

Something to Believe in

You can't get something for nothing.

Then you realize you can only get one thing.

You can't believe in everything,

Yet you believe in something.

Which is nothing to another.

It shows how different it is for each other.

And when something exists for all to see,

Only some of all shall see it,

But that is the between you and me.

----------------------------------------

Mirror of Truth

Mirror of Truth As the hand of each day closes it' the perfect time to relax, introspect and look into my own mirror of truth To see if I need to communicate, educate or amend any actions or thoughts I've executed If we're gonna be at all Let's not ever fall.

--------------------------

I'm feeling so secure in your arms

looking into the glassyness of your eyes

seeing

for once in this wretched life

seeing a soul

knowing you love me

no more insecurities

touch me

the way your soul instructs you too

know I love you

your telling me the

same story

My Friend, Loneliness.

mad and bare

away we drool and ache

the juice of loneliness pumping

through indignant veins

and flowing like dreams that blow

through midnight's wind

enrapturing the dreamers

like shrouds fit for invisible men.

i saw it once

sharp and vindictive

waiting to pounce

eating away at the hardness

bone-tight and stuttering

it is swarming like virtue that bleeds

needlessly

and unfit for view

hidden like a broken heart

that had no beat.

----------------------------------------

FEAR

Fear is sweaty palms,

before your first date.

Fear is adrenaline pumping,

before the first punch.

Fear is waking up,

with no one there.

Fear is crying aloud,

after you've lost your love.

Fear is being alone,

wondering if anyone cares.

Fear is losing your family,

left with no one for support.

Fear is walking in the dark,

thinking someone's there.

Fear is in everything,

it portrays our lives.

-------------------------------

yesterday i was the ocean

yesterday i was the ocean, my fierce waves crashing against the earth,

my roar thundering for miles, scaring children whose mothers told them to stay far away.

today i am the sandy beach being pushed from every angle,

comforted by only wet rocks and cold water, feeling desperately alone.

---------------------------------------------------------

My heart aches for you will never know,

the depth of my emotions and how I love you so.

I ran from our future,

to be caught in our past,

Our past is all that I have left.

You begged me not to run away,

but to no surprise I did.

You know that love is hard for me Marcus,

But also you know what we can be.

Please, open up and let me in,

So we may begin again.

---------------------------------------------------------

DANGER

HOW MUCH DAMAGE CAN REALLY BE DONE,

WHEN YOU SET OUT TO HURT OR DESTROY SOMEONE.

CAN YOU MAKE THEM WISH THAT THEY WERE NEVER BORN,

LEAVING THERE DREAMS SHATTERED AND TORN.

THERE HAS TO BE A CROSSROADS, SOMEWHERE TO DRAW THE LINE

THE PUNISHMENT IS NOT FOR YOU TO DECIDE, SO WHY NOT BE KIND.

ITS NOT REALLY THAT HARD TO SEE, IT'S NOT WHAT SOMEONE ELSE IS.

IT'S ALL THAT YOU CAN BE,,,,,,,,

All I want to do is love.

Love who? love you, love anyone.

Why is that so hard for me?

--------------------------------

A soap bar for the shower,

A hook to hang your clothes,

Remember where you put them,

To get them at your return,

But there is no returning,

There was no need for soap,

Not a shower but a gassing,

And it was the end of hope.

---------------------------------

Alone in my room at night,

I lie on my bed.

Wishing I never heard those words,

You shouldn't have said

I wish I had a window

so I could look into the eyes of the sky

Because unlike people,

stars would never lie

Moving steadily like the early morning fog,

Slipping back once again to reminisce.

I dream-walked through your sleep last night,

As a dark and lonely shadow would.

You lay there so blissfully ignorant...

Would you reach out for me if you could?

Silence. Forget the coffee.

I even fell in love

With the old Japanese woman

Who gave me penny candies

As I repaired Howard's deck

UNTITLED

How do I live?

As if no tomorrows exist

How do I love?

How do I see?

Where do I go?

Always forward and never back

How do I hear

With my heart

MY DESIRE

Baby brain,

In chunks of plenty.

Dancing upon my window sill..

The innards of my haunting prey,

diluted in your juice, now jell.

Eyes sewn shut with fishing line..

Optic nerves and parts of mine..

Sucked through this straw,

your tube of need..

To keep you strong,

and make me bleed.

REST IN PIECES

Trapped within this cage of flesh,

my mind still dwells, will it find rest?

When maggots take refuge,

in this rotting corpse..

Freely I'll ride, on that fiery horse.

South on your path,

the trail through your mind.

To comfort the thoughts,

and secrets you'll find.

FANTASY LAND

A dream held close,

for which one breathes.

Brings endless desire,

for imaginary needs.

When dream finds truth, you will regret.

Hell finds yourself, your heart now stops.

What a time you had!

In your self-generated life.

You are nothing but my loss of blood,

yet you continue to dream,

and seduce, now dead.

For you are what you seem..

A life in my head.

Love Poems (Continued) by M. McNamara

Change

Once I lived in emptiness,

Of love unknown, in cold and ice.

But now I share our happiness,

Pure joy, and light, and paradise.

What was it then, before I missed?

Your heartfelt love, your sweetened kiss.

-------------------------------------------------

Its as if the angels

Came out today

The clouds cascaded

Shards of light

On the brims of my face

Leaving me

With an essence of

Pure Joy

I felt the sorrows and angers

Of yesterday

Escape into the dark

Clouded corners of the sky

I felt

Pure Joy

When I thought of you

And for once in my life

The angel smiled down on me.

TRUTH SELDOM SPENDS THE NIGHT

Splintered bits of truth reside

Somewhere in the brain,

Taking refuge deep inside,

Refusing sure reclaim.

Truth may appear in sight,

Like a timid, shadowed fawn,

But it will not spend the night,

To be captive to the dawn.

Charles Albano

it takes me some time to find the words,

because I have never felt this emotion before.

i am young and so carefree,

i never thought someone would find the walls inside me.

you took the time to love me,

and showed me that someone can exist.

without the intention to cause me pain.

i was lost and you made me found.

you gave me a second chance.

i can not say I love you,

for I know not what love means.

i can just say that you are a part of my heart.

Show not the eyes of sudden pleasure.

Give life to what seems as death.

And with a kiss I give you that life.

You can kill me here and now,

As if I really care,

My soul has flown away,

Though my body still remains.

Will You Be...

Will you be there in heaven,

after you turn seven?

Will you be above,

flying like a dove?

Will you be within me,

as my body grows like a tree?

Will you be there in the night,

shining with the stars so bright?

Loving you that way is truly a work of art

I feel your love touch me emotionally and spiritually

loving a man like you is like a puzzle

A puzzle that is well worth the effort and time

Continue to struggle to solve it without ending

Anticipating every move and then taking the initiative

If I had a flower for every time I thought of you

We would walk forever in my garden.

Her Song

She is buried deep within the soul still she sings.

The song of prayer and midnight is her refrain.

Her voice crystal and strong.

To what outcome does she sing?

To call the angel demonic or to expel what already dwells within?

---------------------------------------------------------

My heart--

Your soul--

binds the heavens

and the stars into one

so that each--

from its individual self--

may define the word of love

into the eyes of each other

and share each other's passions

for all time--

under the same skies--

beneath the lovers' moon.

Decisions

There once was a man from Peru,

who had ice cubes in his left shoe,

but in his right were hot coals of white

and he just didn't know what to do.

(So I bought him a new pair of shoes).

The voice inside me,s he calls out your name,

If It means she's dying, will you take her pain?

The voice inside me she longs to be touched,

She's looking for your hand that denies so much.

The voice inside me, she feels so alone, she need your help,

You've become all that she knows.

The voice inside me she needs you, and she is apart of me

too,

She needs to know what more can she do?

Images From Our Past

Images from our past

go through my mind

of the way we were.

The way we used to be

which felt so right.

I don't know what this means!

It's almost as if,

were still meant to be.

I think all these memories

try to tell me something,

and to ease my pain.

As if one day in time

we will be,

once again...

CAFFEINE

Darkness flowing thick, through these veins now clotted..

of saturated hate, for the love that speaks lies..

My heart pumps the desire, to seek pain, in beauty you behold.

Your eyes bring me closer to the butchering of my purity.

Anxiety inducing fluid, finds its way into my heart.

Dissolving hopes and dreams.. tears insides apart...

Now bleeding from the nose.. I think I've had enough.

But I feel so damn good... may i have another cup?

Trust in yourself,

believe in yourself,

love yourself.

Words spoken to me ,

but by whom?

He was there with me ,

in my soul.

I could hear him,

feel him,

smell him.

Was he a dream?

Was he my reality?

Was he me?

Was he?

Am I?

breathless skies

open to reveal

a deeper force.

And you flee from the world

tearing and tightening the bonds

that made you linger so long

and journey to a world

in which I have no passage.

Farewell my inspiration

farewell for present times

now that part of your eternal being

lives and sings

in my every beat and breath,

know that I wish and wait

for reunions beyond reckoning

when the torment of this world has passed

and clear skies come again.

Of Beauty

The moon shining on the sea,
And the oak, majestic in the stand,

The birds singing in the trees,
And the waves crashing on the sand,

The fields, plump with harvest grain,
And the stars beaming in the skies;

But none of these can close compare,
Or match the beauty of your eyes!

My Enemy

Who is my enemy?
My enemy is time.

When I am with you,

He makes the days end much too quickly.
He makes the nights end far too early.
He makes us measure our togetherness in minutes.

When we are apart,

He makes the days an endless torture.
He makes the nights a lonely hell.
He mocks our separation with a cold cadence.

I long for the day when our being together is beyond time's control.

I am a friend in your eyes,

You are a lover in mine.

I don't know how I can stand,

All these feelings inside.

Why don't you love me?

Why do I love you?

Why can't this be perfect?

How can this be true?

I don't want this to happen,

But it already has.

I don't like what this is doing to us.

I just don't want to be sad.

"The Coming of Fall"

The tide waves its sweet goodbye

To the unsuspecting breeze

The summer is becoming a memory

Of warm days, and cool nights

A time when all is right

When people act as people should

Everyone is themselves

The beach is filled with millions

Wishing to wipe their troubles away

In a fun day in the sun

All of the memories are wiped away

In one season called fall

Stand You Alone

Amongst the verdant stand, stand you alone,
In beauty and life's joy, fair willow mine.

Wind caress'd arms, framed in night's starred dome,
Softly beckon- Embrace my soul in thine!

Enchanting dancer, to thy side some I,
Over stream and hill, and by paths anew,

To gaze on form sublime in moonlit sky,
Serene in perfect grace- Oh wond'rous view!

Across forbidden glens I'll fain trespass,
Sweet rapture- Can night's dim glow surpass?

--------------------------------------------------

Sitting outside of me

looking in.

Seeing my threads wearing

oh so thin.

I don't have much patience

for what I see.

Sitting outside of me.

People think me, oh so kind.

I doubt they would

if they knew what was really on my mind.

Maybe you should take a good look,

and read what is written in my book.

As I have done. Sitting outside of me.

Snowy Night in the Meadow

night is here... everything is quiet

feathers from God's pillow are falling from heaven

the breeze is whistling through the trees

the feathers dance in the air... then unwillingly float to the ground

rough edges become calm

more and more add to the sea

pure

smooth as silk

I see you standing there

and you don't see me

What's the point of love?

if you know it will never be

So one day I picked put the phone to give you a ring

I talked to you a while them came a surprising thing

When I told you I loved you

it turned out you felt the same too

You set my soul free

and my heart in flames

One thing is so true

I love you

What is....
by Tammie Dorsey
(Magic Lady)

for what is in a name,

the name we label our hearts...

what is the meaning of this word we sometimes do utter,

capture the essence of this spellbound notion...

what is in this quote:

to make you stop and pause,

what is in this word or is it just because...

whisper it, say it loud I LOVE YOU,

damn that's profound.

The sun sets in the west,

and the moon rises in the east.

Give me the peace of death,

and I'll show you the joy of life.

SURVIVAL

By Jeff Streba

Unfortunately,

Litter is not important.

Development is.

------------------------

Keeping with soul reminders-

Trudging towards sleepless slumbers-

Awakening disregarded emotions-

Climbing in blackened hearted

amusement rides-

Trying to feel-

Trying to hide-

Wish the girl was mine-

As outward I climb-

Inward I dream-

Backward I fly-

To the world as it seems-

Am I so blind-

Could I really hide-

Desperate alone-

Edging love back, close to home-

-----------------------------------------

i've looked into the eyes of despair
of love lost and her golden blonde hair

i've heard that sweet song she sang
on every note my broken heart hangs

as the wind sneaks through the heath
i smell that sweet memory and weep

with distress she would crop and scold me

i close my eyes and think of her
on abated notions i twist and stir

i'm tired of dreams and wishes
that don't come true

Born today another babe

wading into wilderness

of men and things

lost machines

talking more for me

Taking on societies

a single lost endeavor

riding on the mind

can only be forever

Babe it's only life on earth

don't take it so tough

your speaking truth

old lies dilute

your end will be rebirth

Turn around in your innocence

it will not last for long

knowledge parts that sweet era

to twisting mad dilemma

Parasites clinging to well rounded thoughts

Lingering in the most shallow of graves

We yearn to know

Yet cannot see

What it is we seek to save

The city of life lies on the corners

of Love and Death

People walk into the City blindly

and exit with open eyes

Is it here? Can we finally see?

While we still live

or

Is it parasites we be.

Love is like a water fountain,

You can only drink when you press the button.

Sometimes you get the automatic kind

where the water is an easy find.

At times the switch is hidden

or the fountain's been spit in,

The fountain might be nice and bright

but then you find the water's white.

Pick your fountains carefully,

'cause they sure don't come easily.

FRIENDS

Has love come forth to me,

or more less did not see.

That all my love to thee,

just wasn`t meant to be.

Holding me from the start,

only to find us torn apart.

Will this endless sorrow,

Never be gone by morrow.

Now we must be friends,

to know it all comes to end.

That might we find that broken hearts do mend.

What happened with her? by Aaron Smith

She scared me too,

I didn't know what to do.

I was helpless and...

alone.

Was it something I said?

I didn't mean any harm.

It's just "women" I guess.

Still, to hear her cry

over the phone,

makes me scared.

There's nothing that

I can do through

those telephone cables.

Not much, at least.

She didn't want me to come.

She'd rather melt

in her own sorrow.

Thus, I melt as well

in my tears.

---------------------------------------------------------

My Lord and my God,

will this ever end?

Constantly I am tortured.

Save me, oh my friend.

Sometimes I always wonder

why you even want me.

I take for granted so often

that I know you'll never leave.

Yes this is so true

but I want to bear some fruit

If love is unconditional

I'm glad that it was you.

a dream of terror.

I saw you give me one last kiss

and start to walk away.

I fell to my knees and gave you my

one last look, your hand stretched out

and came from it...
A dozen bloody roses.
